Polio Echo's Information Program Classroom B, 2nd Floor Polio survivor and past-president of Polio Epic of Tucson, Micki Minner, will present a one-hour update on the latest post-polio syndrome (PPS) research, followed by the screening of UNICEF's 38-minute documentary "The Final Inch," chronicling the latest efforts to eradicate polio from the face of the Earth by 2012. Members of the Arizona Spinal Cord Injury Association are encouraged to attend. Many polios do not realize that they have incomplete spinal cord injury due to damage to the anterior spinal cord by the polio virus, causing paralysis of muscles while leaving sensation uneffected.
